---------“love sparkles splendid life”

　　It has been three years (2008-2010) since Chinese anti-cancer association (CACA) continued to implement a scientific promotion on cancer prophylaxis and treatment in China. In 2011, CACA will cooperate with the bureau of disease control in ministry of health and Roche Shanghai Pharmacy Ltd., in a move to adopt a new large-scale science popularization project within three consecutive years with the theme of “Love sparkles splendid life—a hopeful path on Chinese anti-cancer.” An inauguration will be launched in Beijing Hotel New Otani Chang Fu Gong on 8th, April.

　　The project will center in spreading the knowledge of cancer prophylaxis and treatment, so as to further motivating several anti-cancer activities, such as cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment in early stage and standard treatment. It will enable people to embrace a scientific view on anti-cancer, and demonstrate patients’ compassion sparking in fighting against cancer. As a result, a successful anti-cancer social environment will be created with the help of the project by mobilizing the public to give due weight to cancer and care about cancer patients.

　　According to the schedule, in 2011, twenty major cities will witness that sixty oncology experts in CACA will be invited to popularize the knowledge of cancer prophylaxis and treatment through lectures on special topic, cancer association, education on recovery and live web broadcast. And meanwhile, scientific column will be set up in hundreds of major media, publishing stories of anti-cancer star families in installments, and reporting anti-cancer activities and information, which will elevate the whole society’s recognition level in anti-cancer. What’s more, patients will be heartened to cultivate confidence in defeating disease, and more people will be attracted to be a member of the group that cares for cancer patients, providing them with increasing help.

　　The project will invite “benevolence ambassadors of anti-cancer”, who will supervise work on recovery education related to cancer patients in different areas and edit brochures about anti-cancer star families. The ambassadors will also be responsible for the summary conference held in the end of each year, and contact with the program in CCTV---“the road to health”, holding the award ceremony of “Chinese anticancer families—the most moving stories”.

　　The large-scale science popularization project “love sparkles splendid life” is hosted by CACA, undertaken by the press department of science popularization and the commission of cancer recovery affiliating to CACA and supported by the bureau of disease control in ministry of health. Roche Shanghai Pharmacy Ltd. also makes contribution to the project.
