On December 26, 2009, the “Hand-in-Hand Hope” Project arrived in its last stop—Shenyang City.Considering Shenyang being a high risk region of gastroenterological cancer in China, the directors of the Project chose this city as the spot to carry on public education on gastroenterological cancer.

　　Eight oncologists provided free diagnosis for over 300 patients with cancer and their families. And they also arranged lectures on Gastroenterological Cancer and Colorectal Cancer.

　　The participants of “Hand-in-Hand Hope” in Shenyang was moved by the experts who had given lectures and free diagnosis to them. “I feel so warm in spite of the cold weather” a senior citizen who attended the lecture said “It is those selfless oncologists who warms our hearts.” Cooperated with Chinese Bureau of Health Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the CACA made a three-year plan to promote the public education of Chinese cancer control. This plan was known as “Hopes” Project, which is composed of “Dialogue Hope”, “Hand-in-Hand Hope” and “Spread Hope”. This strategy builds a bridge between oncologists, mass media and citizens to exchange the information of cancer control so as to access to the public education on cancer control through various activities. The project receives the consistent high praise and the social widespread praise from all walks of life.
