In response to the World Cancer Day launched by Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, the Committee of Tumor Marker led by Prof. Zhinan CHEN organized a series of activities to arouse the anti-cancer awareness in rural areas. “World Cancer Day is the best new-year gift for us”, said a participant.

　　The committee hold the World Cancer Day in Bai Village, the demonstrate village of Shanxi Province. The great improvement of economic condition in this village caused the eagerness of health knowledge. The committee prepared 1200 brochures to introduce the carcinogen, mechanism and prevention of pediatric tumor through pictures and illustrations. The volunteers even sent the materials to every family in the village. The experts also provide free consultation services and attract all residences.

　　In the afternoon, Prof. Zhinan CHEN arrived as the ward of the Fourth Military Hospital to visit two children leucocythemia patients. Prof. CHEN encouraged them to be brave and confident. “I believe you will have healthy and active childhood as other children”, said Prof. CHEN.
