On October 21-24, 2008, the 2008 Tianjin International Breast Cancer Symposium: Individualized Clinical Pathological Evaluation and Treatment was held in Tianjin, China by Chinese Anti-Cancer Association and Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital. Over 300 experts participated in the conference. A number of famous scholars home and aboard gave speeches on Breast Pathology, Imagining and Clinical Treatment.

    Aiming at “sharing the latest progress and enhancing the international academic communication”, this conference highlighted the individualized treatment. There were 4 sessions in the conference: 1 Epidemiology of breast cancer, basic research and standardized diagnosis and treatment, 2 Sentinel lymph nodes, 3 Breast conserving operation, and 4 Medical therapy of breast cancer.

　　This conference provided a platform for colleagues all over the world to exchange their academic experiences, and promoted the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer in China.
