On August 9th, 2008, the Press Conference on “Smoke-Free Environment, Health Life” was held in Beijing Olympic Village. There were 150 friends from the media attend the conference. The President of Chinese Medical Association, Prof. Longde WANG mentioned in his speech that Smoking and second-hand smoke as a serious common threads harmed people’s health condition. The only way to protect public from smoke was to fulfill 100% smoke-free worksite and cancel smoking area.

　　Dr. Xishan Hao and Dr. Guangchao Zhang, the President and the General Secretary of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association stressed the harm of smoking and second-hand smoke and introduced the progress of smoke-free worksite.

　　In order to promote the action, the organizations that contributed to the “Green Olympic” and “Smoke-Free Environment, Health Life” Program were prized. A Toolcase for quitting smoke was provided.
