The Asian Fund for Cancer Research (AFCR) is calling for new research proposals that will have a high impact on prevalent cancer types in the Asian population including, but not limited to, nasopharyngeal, liver, gastric and esophageal cancer. AFCR's Research Program may be of interest to you or a colleague.
The AFCR Grant Program will support research that investigates new and more effective prevention strategies to reduce cancer incidence; explore early detection and diagnostic technologies; and develop targeted therapies to personalized treatment regimens.
AFCR supports all phases of research but translational research is preferred.
Collaborations across multi-disciplines will be reviewed favorably.
Eligibility: Principal Investigator's (PI) host institution must be research institutions in Asia and regional countries.
Deadline: Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Funding:
- Up to HK$1,000,000 for two years will be awarded to winning applications, with up to HK$500,000 per year
- Funding begins April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2019.
