October 21-23, Mr. Cary Adams, the CEO of Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) accepted the invitation to join the 150th Anniversary Celebration of Tianjin Cancer Hospital. On behalf of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and Tianjin Municipal Government, Mr. Zhang Gaoli, Tianjin Municipal Party Secretary received and extended his warm welcome to 12 foreign guests including Mr. Adams and other experts who came from United States, SriLanka, Japan, and Korea. Mr. Gou Lijun, member of municipal standing committee participated in the reception.

　　October 23, Mr. Adams expressed his gratitude to Tianjin Cancer Hospital in the Memorial Ceremony. He pointed that Tianjin Cancer Hospital is the birthplace of oncology in China and has served the population of the Tianjin area with excellence for many years. On behalf of UICC, he is pround to count the Tianjin Cancer Hospital as a UICC member since 1998. Last May, the UICC Board of Directors met in Tianjin, where they were shown around the institute and hospital-they were all impressed and in awe of the facilities, the people and the plans for the future. At last, Mr. Adams expressed his congratulations to the Tianjin Cancer Hospital for its 150th Anniversary once again. He emphasized that Tianjin Cancer Hospital has and continues to play a crucial role in changing the face of cancer in China. He thanked Dr. Hao for the invitation to be here and to acknowledge his contribution to fighting cancer globally.

　　During the 3-days celebration, Mr. Adams visited UICC private partner—Hengrui (Shanghai) Pharmaceutical Ltd.Co., including biochemical labs and product lines.
