The Scientific Awards of the CACA as scientific and technological awarding on oncology were approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. The mission of the Awards is to improve the national health by promoting the research of oncology in China through rewarding those oncology workers who made outstanding contribution to the progress of Chinese medical research and technology on oncology in order to give full play to initiative and creativity of Chinese scientists and medical workers.

　　The Scientific Awards of the CACA was launched in May 2009. The documents about its constitution and Measures for Awarding were unveiled on the CACA Bulletin and the CACA website (www.caca.org.cn). Five hundred thousand Yuan (732,500 US Dollars) was provided as the fund. There are five first prizes, ten second prizes and fifteen third prizes. There are three degrees of awards for 30 projects. By far, fifty organizations were set as recommendation organizations. The CACA Scientific Awards office has received 72 applications by the end of 2009.
