The 2009 International & the 10th National Head & Neck Tumor Conference was held on September 18-20, 2009 in Tianjin, China. The subject was “Functional Surgery and Its Effect: The Comprehensive Treatment and Fundamental Research of Head & Neck Tumor”.

Prof. Hao delivers speech

　　Prof. Hao Xishan, President of CACA, Prof. Qiu Weiliu, President of the Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Prof. Yao Zhi, Vice-President of Tianjin Medical University and Prof. Li Shuling, famous oncologist from Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital participated in the opening ceremony and delivered important speeches. Prof. Gao Ming, Deputy Director of the Head & Neck Tumor Committee, CACA chaired the meeting.

　　The congress received great support from the colleagues and experts in head & neck diseases. Upward 500 participants from home and aboard attended the congress which received over 400 abstracts on head and neck surgery, ear-nose-throat diseases, oral and maxillofacial surgery, head and neck radiochemotherapy, biotherapy, foundimental research, epidemiology research and nursing.

　　During the meeting, Academician Qiu Weiliu was praised “Lao-Yi-Fu-Li(Being ambitious in spite of his age) Award” and Prof. Li Shuling and Prof. Tu Guiyi “Special Contribution Award” for their outstanding devotion to the oncology development in China.
