Community Conversations on Cancer Control in China

Go Public – Global Community Conversations on Cancer Control is an unprecedented collaboration between the International Union Against Cancer, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and the Campaign to Control Cancer. By leading a thoughtful conversation in your community, you are joining thousands of people from around the world who are coming together to help control cancer through knowledge, change and action. The Conversations are volunteer-led events where participants use prepared materials to talk about their own awareness, experiences and expectations about cancer and cancer control. It is an opportunity to uncover people’s awareness, experiences and expectations about cancer and cancer control.

The conversations were held by four local anticancer associations of CACA: Beijing, Tianjin, Shaanxi, and Zhejiang Anti-Cancer Association. Over one hundred cancer related people were involved in this activity.

The participants shared the cancer experiences, and showed their vision and values for the cancer control system in the future. They focused on what actions need to be taken by our society towards building a highly successful cancer control system, and discussed the actions the public should take towards building a highly successful cancer control system.

The Community Conversation in China achived great success. It promoted the communication between patients and doctors as a new kind of brain storm.
