To Promote the Anti-Cancer Awareness among the Population, Tianjin Science and Technology Association, Tianjin Red Cross Society, Tianjin Bureau of Public Health, Tianjin Anti-Cancer Association, and Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institution & Hospital (TMUCIH) jointly organized the 2007 Cancer-Control Publicity Week under the banner of “Say No to Smoking, Say Goodbye to Cancer” from 16th to 20th May.

　　During the Publicity Week, hundreds of experts provided free consultation for the public, and the five public lectures were given on The Diet of the Cancer Patients; The Relationship between Tobacco and Cancer; The Relationship between Tobacco and Carcinoma of the Stomach; The Influence of Tobacco on the Tumor in the Neck and Head; The Prevention and Aide of Breast Cancer; The Prevention and Treatment of Lung Cancer. Tens of thousands people signed in support of “Say No to Smoking, Say Goodbye to Cancer” movement. The experts from TMUCIH gave free cancer education and introduced the latest treatment and the technology of cancer through mass media such as local newspaper and TV programs. A Youth Volunteer Team composed of many young doctors from TMUCIH went into residential areas and offered free consultation services and propagated anti-cancer cancer knowledge.
